Instagram rolls out “Reels” in India.

Instagram has launched a new feature in India known as “Reels” which allows users to create 15-sec videos with filters and music. Reels was initially tested in Brazil, Germany followed by France and now in India. Since Tik-Tok and other 58 apps were banned by Indian government, Instagram made a perfect opportunity for Tik-Toker’s to switch to Instagram Reels and launched in India.

You need to have the latest version of Instagram app on your phone to enjoy this feature. If you are not able to see this feature in your profile, don’t worry. Quickly to go to Google Play Store or App Store and update your app. 

How to use Reel on Instagram:

  • Open your Instagram App, Click on “Add Story”
  • Click on “Reel” towards left from Normal mode(camera mode)
  • Tap on Audio and choose a song from the library or you can also record/use your voice.
  • Add AR Effects which gives you multiple filter options and also set a timer to record your reel clippings.
  • Make your 15 sec video with effects and audio and post your “Reel” 

Reels appear in the explore option and can be shared in the story or as a direct message you can share it with your friends. It has similar features like Instagram stories and is visible for 24 hours.
